Frequently Asked Questions and Tips & Tricks
What Are The Best Concentrates To Use?
Any premium full melt-hash concentrates from Live Resin Waxes, Crumbles, Shatters, Budders, Batters, Caviars, Sugars and Full Spectrum Extracts work optimally. Wet (with terp sauce) or dry THC-A Diamond crystals work optimally as well, but note that some extra priming (a few starter “puffs”) may be required for crystals to melt first before turning to vapour. Even CBD isolate crystals work well but as well may require extra priming. Think of the act of lighting a cigar or pipe to prime crystal-based concentrates.
Conversely, full-melt hashes with a high concentration of terpenes (>15%) can contain too much liquid to be fully compatible. If the concentrate is very runny, it may cause flooding in the base of the cartridge but still function. These are not intended for liquid materials or traditional forms of hash that are not full-melt.
How Do You Fill The Cartridges?
Filling the cartridges is very easy in 3 steps:
Step 1) Remove the mouthpiece by unscrewing it counterclockwise.
Step 2) Drop as much as 3 grams of premium concentrates into the center chamber with a dab tool or similar utensil. It’s no problem to make a mess or have concentrate stick to the inside of the borosilicate glass tube because Step 3 will take care of the rest.
Step 3) Place the plunger mechanism into the chamber and rethread the mouthpiece in a clockwise motion. Note that, using spring-loaded action, the plunger will press downwards on the concentrate and allow it to nest into the bottom of the chamber in constant contact with the quartz & 316L stainless steel atomizer (heating plate)
What Do The Battery Lights Mean?
Lock ON/OFF by pressing the button 5 times.
Lock ON: Press the button 5 times within 3 seconds to lock ‘ON’ the device. The LED light will be on for 2 seconds, then fade for 1 second.
Lock OFF: Press the button 5 times within 3 seconds to lock ‘OFF’ the device. The LED light will flash 3 times.
Auto OFF: If the user does not press the button to lock OFF the device, the device will auto lock on in 10±1 mins.
Activated by inhaling at 3.0V OR with an additional 0.3V power by pressing the BOOST button.
Flashes RED 3 times – Low Battery Protection – When the battery voltage is below 2.7±0.1V, the device will auto cut off while inhaling and the red LED will flash 3 times.
Flashes RED 5 times – Short Circuit Protection – If cartridge short circuits (resistance < 0.9Ω), the device will auto cut off while inhaling and the red LED will flash 5 times.
Flashes RED 8 times – Overheat Protection – If the inhalation times exceeds 8±1 sec, the device will auto cut off while inhaling, the white LED light turns off & red LED will flash 8 times and enter standby mode.
Charger Specification – DC 5V Type-C charging cable
Charging Status – The device will enter charging mode when connected with a USB-C charging cable; during charging, the LED light will be solid RED and the RED LED light will turn off when fully charged. The user can activate it while charging, the charging session will automatically stop when inhaling, and carry on charging when inhalation stops. When the user pulls out the charging cable, the RED LED light will flash 3 times.
Charging Over Voltage Protection – If the input end voltage is over 7±1V, charging is not allowed, there will be no LED light, and the device will enter standby mode.
Troubleshooting Non-Activating Cartridges:
When using your own 510 threaded battery, be careful not to over-screw the cartridge onto the battery too tight. There is a known issue with 510 cartridges in that the cathode on the very bottom center of the cartridge can get pressed in too far into the silicone gasket from overtightening onto a variety of 510 batteries.
The second time the cartridge is threaded onto a battery, there will be a space between the cartridge and battery cathodes and reads as a short-circuit and not activate. This is easily remediable in two steps:
Step 1) Simply pry the cathode on the bottom of the cartridge back out 1mm – 2mm using a small wedge, such as the corner of a credit card
Step 2) Re-screw the cartridge onto the battery being careful not to over-tighten.
